SproutRx – Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

SproutRx ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application ("the App").

2. No Account or Login Required

SproutRx does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or password. Your plant collection, diagnoses, care tasks and watering schedules are stored locally on your device.

3. Plant Photos and Camera Access

Camera and photo library: The App asks for access to your camera and photo library only so you can scan plant leaves or choose existing plant photos. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.

Third-party AI (Google Cloud): With your permission, which the App asks for before your first scan, the photo you choose is sent to our server and analyzed by Google Cloud's AI service (Vertex AI) to generate your diagnosis or plant identification. Before analysis, location and device metadata (EXIF) are removed from the photo. Photos are not stored on our server, and Google does not use them to train its AI models. Only the photo is sent; we do not send your name, email or any account details.

Photos you add to "My Plants" are saved only on your device.

4. Information We Collect

• Photos you submit for analysis – processed to produce your result, as described above.
• Purchase information – subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google Play. RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement status using an anonymous identifier so your Pro access can be verified and restored. We do not receive your payment card details.
• Support messages – if you email us, we receive your email address and message so we can reply.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we do not use your data to track you across other apps or websites.

5. How We Use Information

• To deliver AI plant diagnoses and species identification
• To generate care tasks and tips
• To compute your local Garden Growth Report
• To maintain your watering reminders
• To verify and restore your subscription
• To respond to support requests

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the App: Google Cloud (photo analysis), Apple / Google Play (payments), and RevenueCat (subscription verification). These providers process data on our behalf and under their own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if required by law.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your plant records and schedules stay on your device, so you control them. You can delete individual plants or reminders in the App, or remove all local data by uninstalling the App. Photos sent for analysis are not stored on our server after your result is returned. 8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Security

Photos are sent over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above shows when it last changed.
